This experiential 6-hour training honors pregnancy as a sacred and transformative time in a woman's life—a journey in which the body becomes a vessel for new life, both physically and spiritually.

Drawing from the wisdom of yoga, traditional Maya midwifery, functional movement, breathwork, and inner awareness, we'll explore pregnancy and postpartum through a holistic lens. Your instructor brings firsthand experience studying with Maya midwives in Guatemala, weaving perspectives from this traditional wisdom into an exploration of the physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of pregnancy and birth.

  • More Details

Yoga belongs to everybody no matter your age or ability.

Chair yoga offers a practical, adaptable approach to building strength, mobility, balance, and body awareness, making yoga accessible to people of different ages, abilities, and physical conditions.

In this training, we'll explore two approaches to chair yoga:

The Chair as a Yoga Prop: Just like a block, strap, or bolster, a chair can be used to modify traditional yoga postures, provide stability, and make a mat-based practice more accessible.

The Chair as the Foundation of Practice: For individuals who cannot easily get out of a chair or need continuous support, we'll explore how to create a complete and meaningful yoga experience through seated and chair-supported movement.

This experiential 6-hour training goes beyond simply modifying traditional yoga poses. Through guided practice, movement exploration, and discussion, you'll learn how to adapt movement to the individual rather than asking the individual to adapt to the pose.

Whether you're working with older adults, individuals with mobility limitations, people returning to movement, or simply exploring new ways to move your own body, you'll gain practical tools to support functional mobility, confidence, independence, and everyday well-being.
